Social and Content Specialist

After 4 years of growing Westhill as a small independent brand, we’re looking for a creative freelance Social Media Specialist to get in on the action and help expand our community.

As the freelance Social Media Specialist, you’ll be coordinating, curating and executing high quality content to build our social engagement and following across all channels.

You’ll play a key role in the success of the brand and in return we’ll provide you with the freedom to explore, learn and create work that you’ll be proud of ;)

• Mid to Senior level professional experience in Socials, either agency or in-house.
• Obsessed with what’s new in social, your finger is on the pulse of new and emerging trends.
• Creative at the core with an eye for design, you take pride in creating work at the very top level.
• You’re a Planner. Content calendars are locked-in way in advance and the plans have been clearly communicated to everyone who needs to know.
• Experienced in building brand communities.
• Reliable and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
• Understand social media engagement and monitoring tools.
• Photography/videography and graphic design skills are a bonus if you have them.

• Plan, monitor and execute a content calendar.
• Bring platform, creative and audience trends and insights into the creation of effective social strategies to drive follower growth, boost engagement and increase organic traffic to the website.
• Have a solid understanding of our customer; what interests them and who they are aspiring to.
• Monitor, manage and foster an engaged community across platforms, making sure the comments section is as interesting as the post itself.
• Collaborate with our partners to work the inside story on designs, marketing initiatives, partnerships + activities to support compelling social media planning.
• Develop social media go-to-market plans for collection launches and sales.
• Content design, coordination and editing.
• Create short-form videos and reel content for various social platforms.
• Assist in developing and managing the execution of the influencer and partnership strategies to grow our footprint and brand awareness.
• Foster and nurture strong relationships with influencers and media partners to ensure ongoing collaboration and brand advocacy.
• Copywriting and proofreading.
• Maintain Social Media budgets and alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) and overarching marketing objectives.

While this is a freelance role, it does require you to come into the studio and attend shoots on an ongoing basis to work on content - so Sydney-based is a must.

Freelance, flexible hours with rates to be negotiated based on your capabilities.
